Training Description:
Our AEP Virtual Institutes are intentionally focused upon modeling teaching practice and methods that teachers can use the very first day of class and throughout the entire school year. Our institutes focus on the introduction and implementation of culturally responsive, sustaining, and humanizing (CRSH) pedagogy and curriculum, as well as increasing the acumen of our participants in respect to how factors of race, gender, and identity have impacted academic achievement. The two-day, three-hour intensives will include an emphasis upon the following:
- cultivating student identity/identities and voice through emancipating teaching practices.
- humanizing teaching practices and methods rooted in Indigenous epistemologies
